OUR PURPOSE:

GLOVE is working Hand in Hand, in partnership, with rural village Communities in The Gambia, West Africa to:

Reduce Poverty, establish Sustainable Enterprises, promote Education and improve Health.

We aim to help people grow enough food to feed their families with surplus to sell through establishing "Community Farms" with small scale gravity fed drip irrigation systems so they can have nutritional food during the dry season. - see "GLOVE FARM."

Assist with the implementation of small scale enterprises so rural communities can generate an income thus sustaining their own families and own communities.

Assist and promote education for all.  Initially this is through your generous sponsorship of children.

Just £6.50 per month, that's just £1.65 per week, can fund a primary child's Education for a whole year.

Improved access to health services; the building of a health clinic and the funding of local nurses.

SAFE DRINKING WATER + SANITATION is the crucial starting point to attaining improved livelihoods, improved health + education, food security, and self-sustainability for none of these are possible if the community is lacking in toilets and drinking contaminated water as is the case in our first project village. Did you know more than 3 million people die every year from drinking contaminated water?

GLOVE's first beneficiaries are the Villagers of (Sam) Mbollet on the North Bank.

As we grow as a Charity we hope to expand our operations into other Rural Villages.
